About KNECTD

KNECTD is a unified payment infrastructure platform. We bring Open Banking, eWallet, card payments, and tokenised blockchain security together in one place, helping businesses launch, scale, and modernise payments for real-time commerce without managing multiple rails.

Our mission is to give businesses and individuals the freedom to move money anywhere in the world.

Your money, your rules.

Team

Built across four countries

KNECTD is built by a team across the UK, Thailand, India and Singapore. Operators, technologists, and legal minds who have spent careers inside the systems they are now rebuilding.

Lee James Kerr — Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder

Lee James Kerr

Lee spent two decades in financial infrastructure before deciding the architecture needed replacing, not patching. He co-founded LynkPay and then KNECTD, building platforms that now process over £100M in transactional revenue.

His experience spans technical architecture across Azure and AWS environments, as well as the commercial governance shaped by years in UK PLC settings across telecoms, manufacturing, and financial systems.

Lee works closely with private equity and venture capital on capital deployment and market expansion.

Mike Tyers — Co-Founder
Co-Founder

Mike Tyers

Mike has been building payment platforms since before most of the industry caught up to the problems he was solving. He founded DriversPay, then LynkPay, then KNECTD. Each one responded to a friction point the market had accepted as normal.

His contribution to the mobility sector is daily driver payouts, replacing weekly settlement cycles and giving thousands of drivers reliable access to their earnings. The infrastructure behind it brought Open Banking, QR payments, and SMS-based payment flows to an industry still running on cash and manual reconciliation.

Mike also sits on several company boards as a Non-Executive Director and speaks on blockchain and the future of payments.

Andy Burton — Chief Commercial Officer
Chief Commercial Officer

Andy Burton

Andy leads commercial at KNECTD, where sales, marketing, business development, and customer success operate as one function. He has spent over 20 years in high-growth businesses, including senior roles at global payments organisations and a founding role at an AI-driven media company that achieved a profitable exit.

He holds an MBA from the University of Westminster and is driven by the challenge of building something meaningful for customers, colleagues, and the business as a whole. Beyond the numbers, Andy is a people-first leader who believes great results come from great teams.

Rachid Zaharra — Customer Experience Manager
Customer Experience Manager

Rachid Zaharra

Rachid has spent over a decade managing operations and teams in the private hire and transport sector, the same industry KNECTD was built to serve.

He joined to build the customer experience function, focused on efficiency, retention, and making the platform straightforward to operate at scale.

Stephen Quinn — Legal and Risk
Legal and Risk

Stephen Quinn

Stephen qualified at Queen's University Belfast and spent 13 years litigating at McCartan Turkington Breen before moving in-house as Legal Counsel in the Credit Department at Danske Bank. He then ran one of Northern Ireland's largest private hire taxi depots, giving him working knowledge of the industry that most legal directors do not have.

He joined KNECTD in September 2024 and leads the legal, compliance, and risk function.
